This week, Ruby embraced the sunshine and took an impromptu walk to Hilly Fields — a perfect way to welcome the changing seasons! The children were full of excitement as they ran freely across the open spaces, climbed trees (with boundless energy!), and explored the natural surroundings.

Our original plan was to search for daffodils, but the adventure quickly blossomed into so much more. The children discovered hidden corners that might be hiding sleeping bears, observed birds and insects, and shared their wonder at the signs of spring emerging all around them.

Along the way, we collected sticks and gathered at the bridge for a game of Pooh sticks — watching the sticks float under the bridge and cheering as they reappeared on the other side!

A lovely surprise during our walk was bumping into another school. The children were excited to say hello, exchanging friendly waves and smiles — a heartwarming moment of community spirit.

These spontaneous outdoor experiences are not only a fantastic way to spark curiosity about the world around us, but they also build confidence, teamwork, and a deep connection with nature. We look forward to our next adventure.
