This week, our school community came together to observe Remembrance Day and to reflect on the importance of gratitude and remembrance.
On 11th November, the whole school marked a respectful two minutes of silence, pausing to honour those who have given so much and are no longer with us. We remember those who served and sacrificed during both World Wars, as well as the many conflicts that have taken place in distant parts of the world, and we hold in our hearts those affected by wars still happening today. The stillness was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made in wars gone by and the impact of conflicts still affecting lives today.
Later in the week, we gathered at St. John the Baptist Church for a special Remembrance service. Together, we gave thanks, remembered those who have passed, and reflected on how we can live lives of hope and kindness in their memory.
These moments of reflection connect deeply to our school’s vision, which is rooted in love, service, and community. We strive to live out these values in all we do. We are grateful for the opportunity to honour this important occasion as a school family, united in thought and prayer.
