Christel House Experience – Cape Town
Over the Easter period I had the amazing opportunity to visit Christel House school on the outskirts of Cape Town which is solely run by charitable donations. The school accommodates children from some of the poorest backgrounds around the city and is a safe haven for them to learn and develop in the safety of a positive environment. Our year 5/6 children in Emerald class wrote the children letters about themselves to start a ‘penpal’ communication. They have responded very quickly and I was able to bring home their responses. The children have loved reading their replies and are busy formulating their next response. Hopefully over time this link will grow further as I know the children are super excited about their new friend in South Africa. Below are a few photographs of our visit.
