Diamond Class has been busy as always! We are loving our unit on the Ancient Egyptians, especially talking about mummification. It can be difficult to imagine what happened during the process of turning a Pharaoh into a mummy so we used a tomato to show this.
First, we scooped out the insides.
Next, we cleaned the body of the tomato with some soap.
Then, we filled the body with a mixture of salt and bicarbonate of soda.
After, we had to wrap the tomato tightly in bandages and leave it in a warm place.
